About the Event

Introducing The Make Them Proud-Parental Disputes Workshop - our free flagship full-day workshop.

Empower yourself to take control of your family court case by attending our successful workshop that not only changes childrens lives for the better but, in some cases, saves lives!

Transformative Community Education: What started as discussions among parents in 2015 has evolved into a well-refined community education program. The Make Them Proud-Parental Disputes Workshop, created and facilitated by parents with lived experience, aims to shift perspectives and guide participants toward a high level of co-parenting. Our objective is to create safe homes where children can trust and love both parents!

Together, we can make co-parenting a reality.

Since 2018, our workshops have consistently received positive feedback, with participants reporting changed perspectives on the family court system. Join us and be part of co-parenting movement!

Testimonials: Don't just take our word for it! Here's what some participants have to say:

  • "The knowledge and strategies I learned from this workshop allowed me to successfully negotiate a mutual care arrangement for my kids after my round table meeting this morning. I am so happy right now." - Father of two.
  • "I wish I had known about this before." - Mother of three.
  • "These workshops are just incredible." - Family Court Barrister.
  • "This is a game changer." - Father of one.
  • "I've been a lawyer for 30 years and I have never seen anything like it." - Officer of the court.

Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, ensuring you have a nourishing experience.

Workshop Highlights and Community Education Team:

  • Frank Hicks: Parental Disputes Coach
  • Cheryl Simpson: Solicitor/Director at Skeates Law
  • Nurit Zubery: Family Disputes Resolution Provider for Beyond Conflict
  • David Ringrose: Social Worker

Please come with a warm heart and an open mind as we dive into valuable discussions and practical exercises.

Grassroots Impact: The ImpactLab GoodMeasure Report for October 2020-September 2021 showcased the positive impact of our grassroots initiative. Despite facing lockdown restrictions that led to fewer workshops, we delivered $272,553 of measurable good to New Zealand society. For every $1 donated, there was a Social Return On Investment of $5.20. We believe our real-world value goes beyond these numbers, as improved communication and social skills have immeasurable long-term benefits.

Proven Outcomes: By attending our workshops and applying the methods, participants can achieve a range of positive outcomes for both children and guardians, including improved mental health, reduced addiction and offending, decreased risky behavior, increased academic achievement (NCEA Level 3), improved parenting skills, enhanced parent-child relationships, increased family cohesion, reduced financial burdens, improved communication and social skills, increased confidence, enhanced resilience, and reduced self-harm and suicide rates.

Supported by: We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Auckland Family Court Support Group and the Albert-Eden Local Board for their generous support. Your contributions make a significant impact on the lives of families in need!

This is a free event for the general public but we would greatly appreicate a koha of $95 from industry profesionals.
